The Kewtech EZYPAT PAT Tester is a compact, battery-powered instrument that performs PAT test functions including earth bond continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, and substitute leakage tests. The 200mA continuity testing function can be deployed in a quick test mode or as a 5-second test whilst the insulation test can use a 500V or 250V test voltage. The lower test voltage option allows the user to test surge-protected extension leads without tripping the protection. Substitute leakage can be measured from 0.15 to 12mA RMS and there is a test lead nulling function to account for resistance in test leads.
The user interface of the Kewtech EZYPAT is extremely simple thanks to automatic test sequences for Class I, Class II and extension leads that are activated with individually labelled buttons. Results are shown on the clear, backlit, LCD screen which indicates actual readings, battery level, and a PASS/FAIL judgment. The screen helpfully flashes red in the event of a failed test and green in the event of a passed test.
The Kewtech EZYPAT comes supplied with an earth lead, test probe, crocodile clip, extension lead adaptor, and carry case. The compact tester is excellent for carrying around with the user and fits easily into the carry case. It is compliant with standards including EN61010 and the battery will provide enough energy for roughly 1400 tests.
