The Martindale HPAT400 PAC Checker is a handy appliance testing instrument capable of carrying out earth bond testing, insulation testing, earth leakage testing and polarity checking. In Martindale HPAT400 PAT Test Kit D, it comes supplied with a wide range of different accessories that supplement the tester’s capabilities.

The Martindale HPAT400 PAC Checker has an earth bond test, insulation resistance test, leakage current test and polarity check function for Class I appliances, Class II appliances and power leads. Once an appliance is connected, all the user needs to do is press the appropriate test button to initiate the automatic test sequence.

The Martindale HPAT400 has inbuilt limits for each test and shows a clear PASS/FAIL indication for each test in the sequence as well as an overall PASS/FAIL indication on the clear digital screen. Unfortunately, this means that the PAC checker is unsuitable for longer extension leads as no numeric readings are given.

110V adaptors for appliances and extension leads are supplied in Martindale HPAT400 Kit D which enables testing on power tools and leads found on construction sites. IT/AV leads are also supplied alongside a socket tester, microwave leakage detector and a full set of PAT labels.

Finally, supplied SimplyPATs V7 Manual Software is a very useful software programme that allows the user to produce PAT certification and reports as well as keeping track of PAT test results and clients.
