The Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester now has all-new firmware with an improved user interface and a database search function. Furthermore, the tester can now work with a Seaward Test n Tag Elite 2 Printer and Seaward scanner to print and read QR-coded PAT labels. As well as providing more information, QR codes can be scanned by a customer using a smartphone in order to find out full PAT test results and information. A new external battery pack now allows the user to switch the rechargeable battery in the field, thus preventing downtime.

The Apollo 500+ Elite Kit is a top of the range PAT Testing kit from market leaders Seaward Electronic. The kit has all the professional accessories required to effectively test portable appliances in a multitude of demanding environments. The Apollo 500+ can be used to test 3 phase, earth continuity, point to point testing on fixed appliances along with being ideal for testing IT equipment and RCD tests. These capabilities are now coupled with QR code functionality thanks to a firmware update and there is also an external battery pack.

The Apollo 500+ modernises downloading PAT Testing by incorporating a full QWERTY keypad, colour display and simple navigation to speed up data entry. The small size and light weight feels more comfortable than other testers without compromising on advanced functionality. The Apollo 500+ performs tests that fully comply with the current IET Code of Practice and also takes into consideration newly added Risk Assessment procedures. With a built in Risk Assessment Tool a user can calculate individual re-test dates based on the risk associated with using each appliance. This pioneering feature provides users with the means to accurately schedule and manage the electrical safety procedures within their workplace. This also prevents unnecessary or overzealous testing. 

Several important official Seaward accessories are included in this all encompassing kit including a copy of Seaward’s PATGuard Elite 3 software a Seaward Test N Tag Printer and a Bluetooth Barcode scanner.

Seaward’s PATGuard Elite 3 software is the recommended database driven software for high performing PAT Testers. The software gives users the ability to store and report data from risk assessments and workplace hazard findings as well as providing options for emailing data, customising and uploading PAT test sequences and creating invoices. This kit includes a one-year licence for this software, however we offer the option of an infinite licence for an additional cost when buying this product.

Seawards Test N Tag Elite printer is the most durable thermal PAT label printer currently available. It is fast and lightweight with a running cost at less than 10p per label. The printer is capable of printing asset number, username, test status, barcode, test date and next date due along with support for more complex graphics such as logos and custom fonts.

A final accessory which will undoubtedly speed up future testing included in this kit is the Seaward Bluetooth Barcode Scanner. This scanner is extremely compact running on 2 AAA batteries and weighing less than 200g. With this scanner an individual can scan alphanumeric characters from your bar code labels straight into your Seaward PAT Tester, so different appliance barcode labels can now be read instantly into a Seward PAT tester.
